What do you do when your world is turned upside down and shaken like a snow globe in a child's hands?
For a moment you hang tight and wait to be turned upright. Then you stand and watch as the pieces of the life you were accustomed to fall to the ground like snowflakes from the sky. At this point there wasn't much use in trying to catch them because they were melting as quickly as they would on a warm mitten. So standing in the middle the snow storm that had become my life, I decided...NOW IS THE TIME... To start an illustration business!
I have always loved to draw. I had created an imaginary illustration business in my head time and again. Telling myself that that when I had time I would get things going. When I had time I would draw more. When I had time.... Suddenly, I realized the one thing I had, was time. Time to start dancing in a different direction and time to start choreographing my own life steps to entirely different music.
It has been exactly two years since that so called blizzard occurred. Two years since I bought this domain and began the journey to create this website. Two years filled with research, doubt and frustration. Two years of markers, pencils and paints! Two years on the dot. Some of us take a lifetime to accomplish what others can overnight, but strangely, I feel like I arrived right on time.
