Hello! Welcome to Sketchbook Dances. Like many things in the world, Sketchbook Dances was the Phoenix that rose out of trying circumstances and self-discovery.

My love for movement, music and and life have been the inspiration for my illustrations. As well as the extraordinary ordinary woman and aspects of the everyday be it shoveling snow to a simple day dream of a world you'd like to escape to.

My illustrations are a product of watercolor, alcohol marker, colored pencil and digital. Limiting myself to one medium would be so...limiting!

As you meander through the store's pages, I hope you find something you like.

Thank you for visiting!

~Margaret

Unintentional Self- Portrait

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME... a.k.a. BIO...a.k.a."I...I...I...":

I was born in the Land of Enchantment, but I'm from the land of Prince, Paul Bunyan, Target, Post- it- Notes, the source of the Mississippi, and Duck Duck GRAY DUCK.

I began dancing when I was 4 or 5 years old inspired by (my first love) John Travolta, The Bee Gees, and my amazing mother who exposed me to every musical on the planet.

I dance today because when the fork came in the road... I realized I couldn't imagine my life without Pirouettes.

After two years at the University of Utah I returned home and earned a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Minnesota.

I am a Francophile and if I could live anywhere in the world it would be Beaune, France.

I live a cliched life, serving pancakes in the morning to support my career of all things Dance.

One thing it took me a long time to learn... in the service industry your job isn't really about serving people, it's about making them smile.

I love animals and have created a zoo!

Sketchbook Dances is an absolute labour of love! ❤️
